Kayaking

Rhoscolyn is a fantastic place to kayak. Whether you want a fun taster session, introductory course, or an adventurous day out exploring the coastline with an experienced local guide.

There is kayaking within easy reach for all levels of ability with sheltered bays and beaches, classic sea-touring, tide-races and overfalls, surf, and daily moving water at the Inland Sea.

The coastline is stunning, and attracts international visitors on a regular basis. There are caves, inlets, coves and beautiful beaches. There is plenty to see, with stunning rock scenery and seals and sea-birds in profusion on the outlying stacks and islands. Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula provide a wonderful mountain backdrop to many of the trips.

Anglesey kayak sessions

Family kayaking taster session

Our family kayaking taster sessions are a great way to get active and try a new adventure sport.

A fun opportunity for families and young people to learn a new skill, whilst exploring the fabulous Anglesey coast. The sessions last for two hours and are run by fully qualified and experienced local kayaking instructors.

Adults: £45
Children: £35

Introduction to sea kayaking

If you have a little kayaking experience this is a great opportunity to get out and explore the local coastline whilst learning the basic skills of sea kayaking.

A perfect introduction to the fun and adventure to be had exploring the Anglesey coast by sea. You will be supported by an experienced local coach, helping you to learn the skills and acting as your guide.

Adults: £80 (1 day) / £150 ( 2 day)

Wildlife kayaks

Anglesey has a great diversity of marine and bird life - our ‘wildlife’ kayak trips provide a fantastic chance to get up close and personal.

See sea birds and seals in a new light as you share their environment. Join us on a trip out to Puffin Island – Ynys Seiriol – on the South-East corner of Anglesey where Puffin nest alongside a profusion of other sea birds including: Kittiwake, Cormorant, Shag, Razorbills and Guillemot. You are also likely to meet the local seal population.

Sea kayaking taster session – half day

These sessions will provide an opportunity to learn about sea kayaking in one of the country’s premiere sea kayaking destinations.

Our sea kayaking taster sessions are perfect for age 16 and over. Anglesey offers a world class range of sea kayaking venues, providing opportunities for paddling at all levels.
